I'm making a inner drum so i can insultate my gasifier. Fiberglass was the first to come to mind. I've heard others use ash? Trying to keep the cost down so exotic materials are nice but a dream for now. Any idea's?

a few layes of light weight steel coiled inside, roofing steel or the like. if you feel the need for further insulation, rock wool insulation is better than fiberglass in my opinion
