It would be really nice to have a gasifier that could burn low density material in large quantities, and actually make a gain (as far as usable gas goes). Has there been anyone experimenting with the possibility using the wood gas to fire a second gasifier with an oversized hearth? I would suppose the hearth would need something like two large parallel plates with holes for gas flow through, spaced a few inches apart. this would then also serve the purpose of a low density incinerator.
If it were possible to gasify sorted municipal waste on a small scale, well then, that would just be the bees knees.
2nd pyro stage?
