Attended the Northeast Biomass Conference and Trade Show in Pittsburgh, PA Today.  Of course most all exhibitors dealt with products which utilized large systems vs our DIY Gek, yet in principle these larger systems only cost more money and though they have increased output IMO have very little on the GEK for sheer efficiency and design improvement.  Lots of fluidized bed technology and certainly strong recomendations to stay Bio - Friendly.  The industry leaders were there.  Very interesting.

Schultzz,
Great that you brought the GEK to the Northeast Biomass Conference. What organization did you go with? Do you have any pictures?
We usually find that there are very few small scale biomass gasifiers at these conferences. Part of the proposal here is to do this as a small scale distributive effort for the biomass itself is distributed and so is the need for energy. Biomass by definition costs money to relocate. This is why you only go so far to scale up gasification and call it a reasonable proposal.
Although the argument is that we do have piles of problematic biowaste accumulation from ag industry so larger systems are more of a fit here. Although large agro business is arguably unsustainable itself.
