Hi APL - I've been following the amazing work you're doing for a while now. I'm based in Pakistan but went to college in the Bay Area. I'm pleased to see so much innovation in biomass gasification happening in the Bay Area.
I've been eyeing the 20kW Power Pallet for a variety of applications. We have chronic energy shortages here with power cuts ranging from 12 hours in cities to 16+ hours in rural areas in the summer. Those who can afford it run on diesel backup generators. But when you factor in agriculture turbines, factories, restaurants, etc all running extensively on diesel, you get a sense for how much inflation is being baked into everything.
I came very close to ordering the 20kW Power Pallet to use it on a poultry farm I am setting up or to run a turbine for pumping groundwater. But then I read about the 100kW Powertainer that is in the works. I would love to hear an update on how that is progressing since it would really be ideal for what I have in mind if it's anywhere close to commercial production.
Also wanted to check if the Powertainer will be able to run on the fuels that were listed as 'under development' for the Power Pallet. Most abundant form of biomass here is sugarcane bagasse, rice husk, cotton stalk, what stalk, maize stalk, etc. Not exactly chunky, I know but very common in most of the developing world.
Best,
Rana
