Hi!

Can anyone share yield information needed to run a 10kw GEK on nut shells?

For a 10kw GEK working let's say 8,000 hrs/year we would need approx 100 tons/year of feedstock. For example I know that 1 hectare of chandelier nuts yields approx 6,000 kg/ hectare (shells included), but what I have not found is how much shell feedstock I will be able to obtain from that initial yield.

So based on assumptions above the question put more simply is how many hectares of nuts would I need?

Thanks so much!
Benjamin
