I've built myself an ejector from some parts I had around. What is the correct way of testing max vacuum? Initially I just hung a section of hose into a bucket and connected the suction port of the ejector to the line then measured from the top of the water in the bucket to where the water was in the tube. But then when I put water in the tube and made it into a U manometer the readings were way different. I thought they should have been about the same.
