BEK Biochar units during fabrication

we've finally started making the BEK biochar units in small production batches.  here's a recent photo of nathaniel aligning the combustion mixer box and flue pipe for final welding.

this mixer box is what let's the user switch between direct combustion, retort and sweep gas pyrolysis modes.  the T handles coming out the side move flaps in the cube that determine where the hot gas goes.  you can mix in real time between direct combustion, indirect retort and sweep gas in any desired ratios.  the swirl buner and ejector venturi attach to the outside of the box.  

here's what it looks like assembled and running.
